Hello everyone, this is my first work. This piece is a secondary creation based on the image of “Old Man Panma” from the “The Lost Tomb Notes” series by Wu He Qilin. The complete production process consists of three core links: ZBrush achieves high-precision character sculpting (basic shape construction/clothing wrinkle refinement/skin texture depiction), Substance Painter completes the construction of the PBR material system (metal oxide layer/fabric wear), and Arnold renderer achieves movie-level light and shadow presentation (SSS skin light transmission/environmental masking optimization).
As a breakthrough attempt at the beginner stage, I encountered multiple technical difficulties during the creative process, such as loss of control over the topological structure and distortion in normal map baking. However, I persisted through all of them, which makes me very happy.
This practice was not merely about completing a cg work; it also strengthened my determination to continuously delve into the field of digital engraving.
