Standard Brush not working correctly when using Radial Symmetry

Hi,
the topic says it already. If I use radial symmetry, and try to paint with the standard brush, the other deformations (created by symmetry) seem to push towards the dot created by myself. Inflate (the outest “ring” on the picture) does work, but the standard only works, if it gets towards center (although I think the deformation there is just not that strong to see it). On the second ring you see the problem: the dots on the lower side gets deformed strangely.
Any Idea what can cause this?
Btw I imported the model from Maya with automatic uv’s, reset transformations etc. Worked with other meshes. This mesh though has a hole on the back (thats exactly what I want to try: maya > zbrush > ue4; does open models work propery?), but I don’t think thats the problem…

regards,
TrT

  1. Is the object itself perfectly symmetrical along the axes you have applied radial symmetry? I cant tell from the pics, but if the surface is not symmetrical, the way the stokes are applied around it may become uneven.

  2. Could the object have been moved off center slightly? Try activating Local Symmetry (Transform > L.Sym) and see if that fixes the issue.

  3. Is the issue only with the standard brush? Do other brushes have the same problem?

  4. Make sure to view the object without Perspective mode on, at various right angles to make sure it has not become rotated, or otherwise deformed.
