MY Computer keeps shutting down while working on a program and an alert sign comes on the screen {alert! regulator failure) my question has this happen to anyone and do you know the answer, not enough space, need a new computer, use a hammer to fix it, replace something, NEED AN S.O.S PLEASE.
Could be your voltage regulator. Try contacting the company. I’m sorry I can’t help more, but I have never had one.
It could help stating what program you use, for example in a 3d app you might be flooding something. Otherwise, it might be kernel related. I’ve encountered a relatively buggy/beta release game that used a real time loading engine which messed with my OS and crashed on one occasion with a kernel overload. This is the closest I could identify with your problem.
Also, is the problem constantly re-occuring, occuring during a general process or specific process? Or is it random program crash.
It might not even be a computer but a soft related message. It would be a good idea to email the peeps about your problem, they might be much more able to diagnost and help.
thanks for the reply keith, found out it could be the motherboard or a chip in the MB or as you stated a powersupply issue.
:)hi gummie I was also advised that an intensive memory program could cause this problem on some computers, I will have to take my pc to the emergency rm. thanks.
