portrait and caricature

I haven’t been to the forum in a few days, my loss.
Every adjective I wish to use has been used.
Every compliment has been paid.
This is the type of work, if I had been blessed with the
talent, that I would like to have made.
I used to cringe when I would see the word fan used.
For your work, I am proud to say it.
Fan of Marcel.
Crash dummies?

that is absolutely briliant, I was looking to see if it was a photo at my first glance of the lee van cleef picture.

stunning work mate, good stuff!

wow. i just want to reach out and touch charles bronson! that’s just some of the best work i’ve seen on the forum.

This stuff is cool I like it a lot. Great work!

C’est ça les pros

Marcel, why it’s all rendered in Carara? The VanCleef head and many other picts, I saw in a mailing from this renderprogram.

Yes, that’s a bit naughty of Eovia because although they mentioned ZBrush in the email they don’t on the website…

well, I work with eovia’ guys, too… I mention zbrush, when posting on the eovia forum, as well as on cgtalk forum, each time (nearly always) I use the program… but of course, different programs show my pictures in the idea of demonstrating qualities (well, I hope, maybe it’s counter appealing!..) of tgheir software, to obtain different effects… carrara is a complete program, but a lot of people, like me, use it mainly as a render program, like Brazil or Mental ray… more and more, zbrush works are used in other programs, and I have the real conviction that more and more peolple in 3d field learn and use zbrush, AND one more program… on another hand, I use often pure zbrush renders, as shown in “zbrush at works” with the snow animùals… in fact, for advertising, the very very definite pixols, and the precision of the zbrush mapping, is often a “must”… but there are also a range of effetcts which necessite others rendering programs, and in still pictures, not to talk movie or animation… so, the abilitie of zbrush objects to be “moved” from one to anther sofware is a real qualitie!.. at the end, I have often, in my pictures, parts of renders from zbrush, mixed with parts in another program… that allows a range of effects, impossible to have in one alone… but usually, I try to say frankly if one picture is “pure” zbrush, mixed zbrush-carrara, or other…

Whatever methods you use are obviously very successful.
A constant source of inspiration.

Always a joy to watch you playing with digital clay Marcel and look forward to seeing future pieces.

The work on the Eovia site was also a joy to view.

Hope all is well with you.

Regards
The Flooze
