I have been searching for a font type and think I have found it but the problam I have is that I can’t find a font folder in my PS dirrectory.Does any one know what the folder would be called.I thought it would be ‘fonts’ But like I said I can’t find it.Also what format do the font files have to be so PS will recognise them.Sory for the dummy questions.
Also if any one has any good links to PS font sites could you please share them.Thanks.
Why don’t use the Systeme Research “Folder/File” ?

Thanks Frenchy Pilou but I was doing a search when I started typing the above note and I found several foldrs called ‘font’.One of them was in the adobe common files folder. When I seen that I asked the question of what file format the PS fonts where so I knew once and for all if that was the right folder.Still don’t know but I put a few new fonts in it but they do not show on PS.I’ll keep trying.
Fonts are system specific not application specific. In other words they must be installed within the heirarchy of your operating system in order for an application to be able to use them. In Windows this folder is most usually located at C:\Windows\Fonts The most common fonts are TrueType fonts 1 and 2, System fonts, and PostScript fonts (which requires a postscript capable application to display them and a postscript capable printer in order to print them). There is another font specification that windows and Macs are moving towards but the name escapes me right now.
A good font resource is www.dafont.com
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the reply Mentat7.So you are saying if I place my fonts in that folder PS6 will recognise them and let me use them?I will try that. Thanks again for the help and thanks for the link.
