Oh my freakin' gawd

Wohooo…I just bought Zbrush! I hemmed and hawed forever, but then I finally gave in. I’m totally blown away by the interface right now. I think I’ve got alot of playing around to do. Is there a manual to help me figure out how to drive this thing? This is like a corvette in the hands of a 5 year old.

…now…where’d I put my wacom?

There’ll be little sleep in this neck of the woods.

Welcome aboard!

Start out here: New Users QuickLinks

I’d recommend starting with Newbie Lessons One and Two, which were written to give a good overview of the program and the interface. “Why can’t I edit my object anymore?” is also an excellent thread to cover early on.

In addition, be sure to run the scripts that came with ZBrush. The ones on ZSpheres are invaluable.

Hahahaha! Somehow I managed to bungle my way onto the quicklinks page after I posted my query for documentation. I’m downloading a few Zscripts (texturemaster etc) and I’ll start with the newbie tuts you recommend.

Thanks!

TextureMaster is already included with ZBrush 1.51, in the ZScripts\Utilities folder.

You’re not kidding. There appear to be lots of included zscripts to help get the hang of things. I’m off to go play some more!

Welcome cecirdr!

It’s mighty cool, isn’t it? Lots of things to try, and the Quicklinks are a great place to learn!
