Hi guys, looooong time no post! Here’s a couple of bits from more recently. The Link sculpt is a work in progress. I should have some work related sculpts to show you in the new year also.
Hi everyone, been super busy at work so haven’t updated my work on here as often as I’d like to but at last I have a few bits and pieces to show you.
This is mostly stuff I have been doing at work for various projects. Some is from the end of last year and also from this year, but with work stuff I have to wait until things are released to the public before I can show my stuff!
Hey guys!
So this is what I am currently working on - Building his clothing/armour up in layers. So far working on his shirt, hose, boots and gamberson.
Making some slight alterations to the face…
My latest WIP, Centaur stag creature.
Some further progress on the centaur sculpt. I’m using this sculpt to learn new skills in ZBrush such as creating and using the insert multi mesh tool.
Also I’m trying to get better at using things like the fiber mesh tools for creating hair and fur. This sculpt is taking me quite a while as I spend half an hour a day on him
during my lunch breaks at work!
I’m hoping to get myself a powerful PC at home soon so I can spend much more time sculpting at home too.
Some untextured versions.
Some further progress on this guy. Still working on his armour and some other extra detailing.
I’ve decided to simplify his antlers into horns instead, as I felt they were a little to fussy and distracting from the rest of the sculpt.
I prefer this now, think it flows a little better too side on. This is a quick BPR with polypainting so far. I still want to add more armour to his back, some further fur down his spine
to his tail, and add chunkier armour on his hooves. I keep going back to the spear too, still not happy with it. I may try something more natural looking with knarled wood.
Here are some examples of how I’ve used ZBrush for work assets in the past. Here is my pirate character outfit with two top variants
and the ‘Seeker’ creature companion untextured before he was made low poly for in game.
I also used ZBrush to sculpt some environmental assets such as props and wall sections / fencing etc. It depends on the art style of the game we’re making to how
much sculpting is actually needed.
