I was wondering if anyone in the forum besides me likes to listen to music when they work with zbrush. If so, what kind of music? Do you find that it improves your work when you listen to music?

I personally like to listen to trance while I ZBrush because it relaxes me and fades well into the backround, so I’m still able to concentrate.

Hi Gerlon,
Please give me some of your trance references, I would like to know what’s good. I personally can’t do anything without music. I listen to Radiohead, Moby, Soundgarden, Philip Glass, Depeche Mode, Stranglers, and anything “New Wave '80s” :cool:

For trance I really like Sasha and John Digweed. They work both together and seperately, and are simply amazing djs. I also like Paul Oakenfold, but not quite as much. I would also suggest you try underworld, they are pretty much my favorite overall band and I could easily imagine someone with your musical interests enjoying them.

I use Spinner, and it’s always running on my computer while I work…I pick the music to suit the project…For instance, my ‘Troll King’ is done to the accompaniment of ‘Surf’ music…It seems to have a nice ‘Trolly’ feel… :smiley:

Thanks everyone for the new music to try out. Antimorph I like the music, who is it by? Stonecutter could you please give me some more info on Spinner? I’ve never heard of it before but it sounds like something I should try out.

I have it running on my computer all the time, including when I ZBrush, and there is every form of music known to mankind worldwide…

Sometimes its great, othertimes not so good, still its worth a look now and again if you like this kinda thing, (goa, deep trance to unabashed full flavour cheesy dance and all things in between) :slight_smile:
