Mike Nash - Hard Surface Bust W.I.P

Superb design :+1:

hey great work Mike,

keep it up and the last render is the best one, we see well all those tiny details

Are you going for a full body or a bust?

Thanks for the kind comments guys.

nerveink - It’s all poly based modeling.

Big guns - I’m just doing the bust, too much work to do the whole suit.

Thats pretty amazing Mike:) Your sig says your available for Freelance and Full-time. Do you mean to tell me that someone with your skillz isn’t already working?? Wish I could hire you.

Thanks for kind words SEGAHOLIC.

There’s not a lot of work here in Australia. I do get a lot job offers from the U.S tho, but I cant get a visa to work there.

I’m not desperate to work for just any studio either, rather try and get something high profile. I prefer to be piss poor then have to work 9-10hr days on a badly produced project.

wow!! Mike … superb work!! :+1:

this looks amazing, how many subtools are in there and how would you export that kind of detail to another program?

Good lord if you’re freelancing I’m doomed.

I come from China, some English can’t understand, your work is great, hope you have time to a tutorial (picture type tutorial) wanted to study to you, thank you, refueling friends!

Amazing work Mike! Great inspiration for many of us. I really do admire your patience and skill.

ps :small_orange_diamond: Okay I don’t get it  … Why can’t you get a visa to work in the States ? Sorry for going off topic

aerofx - All this work is in xsi right now, the concept sculpting was done in zbrush.

KillahPriest - hehe thanks, I'm still getting fu88ck all work so don't worry :P zoomus - Thanks a lot, maybe soon I'll make a tutorial if enough people demand it. bomoh - I can't get a visa since I don't have a degree or 7 years experience in a studio. Maybe some day I'll get into the U.S on a talent visa. But so far all my work is pretty average. Some other pics.

Great model!

but How are you going to do the texture for this model???

Such a complex model, how to do the UV? or you toplogy a lowpoly and bake normal map?

That looks like fun.

I bet this one will look better than the last. So much details. This would do my head in. Looking forward to the final piece

zoomus - Thanks a lot, maybe soon I’ll make a tutorial if enough people demand it.

Thank you ,actually I just want to know your production process, because I on process is not very understanding, don’t know your model in the role of ZBrush what, why want into ZBruah in creation, therefore very eager to you can write a simple process (graphic type), ha ha, thank you again to support your friends!!!
