Very Cool, the details look great. Love the chin strap!!
Nightwalker - I did! It’s still up on my site in fact… a few years old by now, but lots of tricks in there I still use. I’m glad you found it helpful.
akkomplis - Thanks man!
I’ve been tinkering around with a shader for the eyes in Max… little emissive with an alternate color for the geo rim… here’s a quick pic:
Awesome Megaman
Looking great so far, man. I took a screen grab of Geordi La Forge’s eye from Star Trek: First Contact, thinking you may want to use it as inspiration for your Mega Man eyes. Keep up the great work.

ahh yeah! I used to be a big Megaman fan in the day. The glow on the front of the helmet reminds me of Megaman X. Is that what you were going for?
great stuff
how much of this is modeled in zbrush? It looks like the majority of the work was hard surface modeling straight from maya or max. Great clarity though.
WOW! Super cool idea. Looking great so far!
Ooooh I like this, so clean and smooth…nice one:D
Hey guys, thanks a ton… working on the low poly right now.
Dustin - That’s very cool reference! I had completely forgotten about Geordi’s eyes…
nightwalker - Megaman X surely played a part in influencing my design. I dug certain elements of it, but wanted to bring it back down to earth at the same time.
monteford - It’s about 50/50… lots of little details done in Z. The human head was completely Z of course. All the piping and wires within the helmet were done in Projection Master. Various parts of the dome were done in Z… it’s a fair mix.
Thanks everyone else!
