Matt's Stuff

Very nice work! Top row worthy in my opinion.

My only critique is on the beard of the horned fellow. I think if you thickened the hairs of the beard, particularly toward the tips, it would be more believable.

A google search turned up the following examples that seem a fairly good match to the look of your model:

Hey guys,

The guys at mold3d ( www.mold3d.com ) where kind enough to print the sculpt of my Satyr model that I have previously posted here, so I tough it would be nice to share with you:

They also printed another sculpt I did. Started as an improvised sculpt out of spheres and Dynamesh in Zbrush, just for fun. I’ve called this one “Get out of my yard!!!” First some renders, then a picture of the printed version:

Looking Great man!

Fantastic! Love the details and the final pose w/ bare feet, lots of personality.

Would you mind explaining how you went from ‘glove hand’ with welded fingers > dynameshed fully separated fingers > retopoed hand? I generally prefer to use dynamesh, adding body parts as I go along – but the small, close together stuff like fingers and toes get welded together. Not sure how to keep the flexibility of DM while retaining separation…

Great thread.
