This guy feels alive to me. Great modeling/lighting supporting an awesome character concept!

A small nitpick is the top cylindar on the back of the neck. It should feel like it’s coming out of the skin a bit more. But this is an extremely minor issue.

That looks great man, well done! The eyes and lips are particularly grabbing me. The skin texture definitely looks better, he should wear sunscreen! SPF 15000+ should just about do it. :smiley:

Does his helmet close to form a face guard or is it more like ceremonial garb? If it does, can we get a render with it closed?

…and are you going to animate him? He looks like he needs to move :wink:

This really is exceptional work, has that extra something that even good work sometimes lacks.

Was ‘Planet Of the Vampires’ an inspiration? It’s just the space suit colours and style remind me of those used in the film. If there ever was a remake of the film with your designs it would go down a storm I’m sure!

I have never seen “Planet Of the Vampires” till you mentioned, i took inspiration from Saturn and the way I like to use “lines” to decorate things.
But looks a bit like “Planet Of the Vampires”. Is any good this TV series, or is it a Movie?

‘Planet of The Vampires’ is a really great old sci-fi film by Mario Bava. Ahead of it’s time I’d say. In the film they wore some really funky looking black and yellow uniforms. The film ‘Aliens’ has a very similar storyline. Check it out here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planet_of_the_Vampires
