Leeroy Gysi Sketchbook

I found this very old photo in a dusty trunk in the basement,
and I had to fight off quite a few nasty spiders to get to it.

I was very surprised to see the photograph of a strange creature which seemed
to have chosen a quite spotty toadstool mushroom for a seat.

Amazing!! Great concept and i´m awe with the ambience achieved. All composition is fantastic!:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Thank you for the kind words, I’m glad you like it.

This is a direct texture update from the previous model,(http://leeroygysi.deviantart.com/art/DaemonLord-Human-Head-Zbrush-Update-01-357967393?q=gallery%3Aleeroygysi&qo=3),

I’m quite confident that the textures make quite a difference.

An extra version with the hair added.

This is the model of the crocodile’s ancestor, the Deinosuchus.

The 3d model was created for an Australian show pilot about 1 year ago.
Basemesh modeled in Maya, the detailing process happened in Zbrush, then the texturing process which happened both in zbrush and photoshop.

Enjoy

Great model and texture. Would love to see the animated version of this Croc’s ancestor!

Thank you for the compliment, and they have done a Reel for the pilot called “The Great Living Fossils Adventure” where you can see a few of the models in motion.
Here is the link if you want to have a look: ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuG5zNGMDrA ) .

Awesome! Off to see the link now!

Thank you for your interest.

CSIRAC stands for: Council for Scientific and Industrial Research Automatic Computer, and was Australia’s first digital computer.

It is now displayed at the Victorian Melbourne Museum with funny little taxidermy mice posed as if they were busy operating it all together.

This is one of the mice we used for an animation made in cooperation with the Melbourne Museum Victoria.
Basemesh modeled in Maya, detailed and both textured in Zbrush and Photoshop.

A final display render of a personal project I’ve been working on.

ManHunterDisplay01.jpg

I’ll be presenting animations and a short clip of this character as an addition for extra content to my Showreel, ( https://vimeo.com/35615104 ) .

Enjoy

This is the model of the Thylacoleo used for an animation made in cooperation with the Melbourne Museum Victoria.

The Thylacoleo is not a feline, but of the marsupial family, and native from Australia, and if you look at the fossils available, you’ll see that it developed a very interesting set of meat chopping teeth from original flat massive leaf eating teeth, quite fascinating.

Basemesh modeled in Maya, detailed and both textured in Zbrush and Photoshop.

This is the model of the Qantassaurus used for an animation made in cooperation with the Melbourne Museum Victoria.

The Qantassaurus is a plant-eating dinosaur that lived in Australia about 115 million years ago.

Basemesh modeled in Maya, detailed and both textured in Zbrush and Photoshop.

Dude!..who was the consultant on this?.. you left a toe off

Actually NO…
The very last inner toe is very small and was just a little hard to see in the angles I’ve uploaded, and since you so nicely put that to my attention, I’ve uploaded a few extra angles to make it clear:

TylacoToe Angle.jpg

There are 4 toes.

erm…No… I meant the dinosaur dude

Modeled after an animatronic reproduction, I believe they have it on their website.
Thank you for your comment.

This is the model of the Tarbosaurus used for an animation made in cooperation with the Melbourne Museum Victoria.

The Tarbosaurus is a dinosaur that flourished in Asia, (Mongolia), about 70 million years ago.

Basemesh modeled in Maya, detailed and both textured in Zbrush and Photoshop.

Go with science for reference…not someone elses bady made animatronic. Reproducing incorrect things sets science back a little each time it happens.

I got it, thanks.
