I bounce between ZB and maya mostly, with occasional visits to Topogun and 3DCoat. In this case I started with a zSphere base, brought into maya for retop (just the face and hands really) and then back to zb for the sculpt, but the backpack was all maya as it was just quicker to get it how i wanted accurately at a low-res level that could then be subdivided. the blaster i did in zb with shadowbox and some base cylinders. There’s a number of tubes and such I still need to add which I’ll probably just use zSphere’s for.
those are excellent. great shape, great style, a lot of fun to look at.
you keep that earthworm jim. or i will find you!

ha, well it’s a good thing I know where to watch out for you then

Great realizations
AJ: I’ve got those figures on my desk and am taking advantage of the physical reference, but I see what you mean and I’ll try and clean that crotch up for the next update, thanks
in the meantime, some princely progress:

A few new speed sculpts for sharing
1hr Batman bust after catching an episode of the animated series and already having the DK soundtrack loaded in winamp. same zSphere base as all the others:
I’ve gotta say, doing daily’s like this (even semi) has been tremendously helpfull in improving technique and focusing on form over detail and I recomend it to everybody.

some more GA speedies, Orcs and Ogre’s this time. Th first is based on an illustration by the phenominal Tony DiTerlizzi, the second evolved through the sculpt. I’ve also started recording my sessions, I’m still figuring out the setting so the playbacks are kinda brief but hopefully still watchable.
Question: can I add embeded video, or just links like with images?

realised i never finished this guy properly so I’ve gone and touched up some more of the sculpt, including some subtle polypainting before I move onto lowpoly/posing. had a nice test pose worked out the other night but zb crashed during Tpose>SubT. was not funny at all…
