Just an idea for Pixologic to sponsor

I think it would be really neat to have a calendar contest for 2003. Pixologic could post a topic for each month, then users could submit entries. The 12 monthly winners would get a free copy of the calendar, and everyone else would be able to buy a copy.

If not, maybe we can still have our own sort of Theme Threads, where a new topic is suggested every week or every month and users can submit work to it. Aurick could open a new Forum Section, called “Monthly Theme” (or whatever) and users post their images there.

I think that would be cool, Slosh.

Even the monthy challenge would be fun. I’m not great at those, but love seeing people’s take on a theme.

Perhaps if the idea of printing and selling the calendars causes too much anxiety they could instead create desktop calendars…a calendar background for each month in several screen sizes (800, 1024, etc).

sounds like a kewl idea also…and could be enlightening on people different creative takes on monthly themes…I had read this post way back and guess my brain was overloaded at the time…sorry bout that…but I am in for this project as well as M7s challenge

OOps I missed this post - must have been out of town.

I really like the idea and it would be fun to follow, but I couldn’t possibly paticipate as there is no way I could meet any kind of a challenge with most of you guys, you are all too darn good!!

I think a desk top calendar contest would be a cool idea. I also believe that it would be interesting if Pixologic sponsored this contest in some way that would give not only recognition to Zbrush but as to the artist as well. (? hmmm. maybe a goodies section on Pixologics website?, just a random thought.) :slight_smile:
