quote:
Because seriously if it goes on like this then in about a year there will be plenty of one stars and lots of two etc and there will come a point when there are a couple of them a day.

Perish the thought! A couple a day! Egads! Ruination!
No, I couldn’t stay away for a whole day. After thinking about this…I love ZBrush and ZBC too much to let a few ruin it for me. I’ll just have to learn to ignore the irritants better.
Hanuman, seriously, I respect your opinion and you’ve helped me more than once, but come on, a couple of posts a day?
As one of the great unwashed, well I basque in my unwashedness and strive for the day that I know enough to be able to help as many as these washed have, thereby increasing my numbers as to receive a well deserved accollade for the time and effort I have contributed. Will it mean I’m smarter than anyone else? Nope. The whole of the effect will be to give me a little recognition for the giving of my time, knowledge and energy and a giant thrill. Of course, this all hinges on that fact that I learn enough to be able to actually teach someone something.
I’m only human and I have to say that receiving a “Well Done!” still makes me quiver with pride. But as much as I enjoy that, I also enjoy giving someone else the thumbs up. It is another human side of us. Do a good deed and it is returned a hundred fold. I also enjoy, yes enjoy, the constructive criticism. It expands our horizons and helps us to grow. Negativity does not. I’ve lost a whole day on negativity. What a waste.
When you have a loved one or a good friend you don’t one time in your relationship say “I love you” or “You’re a good friend” and then forget it. You reinforce that over a lifetime of continued support and friendship. That’s human nature. We all need it. We all strive for it.
This type of discussion could go on for volumes and volumes and everything could never be completely said so, I’ll say this;
“This last week or so has been an extreme learning experience for me and I’ll not bow to the negativity of some at my own expense.”
So if you choose to be negative, sorry, it doesn’t fit in my world. Please don’t confuse negative with constructive and I in no way can figure out how this thread is constructive in any way.
In conclusion, ZBC for me is a great learning experience. It broadens my otherwise narrow horizons and it is a place that I enjoy immensely(sp?). That includes the constructive criticism, the positive feedback and the general overall good attitude of most of those here. So, I’ll not respond to negativity in any form ever again. It is detrimental to the overall feeling of good will and a hindrance to personal growth.
