Infinite, 3D Head Scan and Sculpt

Infinite, man, share some of the light rigs you made ?
Are you using Image based lightning pass or you arrange lights with colors from the images you show from the movies ?

robertrageson: Thanks very much for your kind comments.

Sycron: Thanks.

jmeyer: No voodoo. No such thing  It’s up there with Santa Claus and that word beginning with R.

Thanks for your comments.

pimeto: Hey, thanks. Nothing fancy in the shots on the first post. Just 1 or 2 point light sources coloured to match the film shots. The images later on in the thread are using sIBL sets from Hrdlabs.

Thats interesting! I never used sIBL format. Ill download some samples to test my scene
Im really having problem finding a render for XSi, easy to use. Im not much into rendering. Im using Vray beta now, testing it but the development of it for XSi is slow and they still wonder if they must continue develop it because Autodesk dont know if they gonna continue developing XSi :frowning:

I highly recommend sIBL it is simply awesome!

Cheers,

Joe

Im rendering right now Meshmaster  Heheh. Im trying to render my char to show it here but with no luck so far :frowning: Vray beta is buggy and cant render my textures.
Ill post here to ask the master Infinite for advice

I’m also on the vray beta so I understand

I took me a while to get sIBL configured and working, but once you do it’s awesome and it’s very easy to switch between render engines with it, so it’s cool.

Cheers,

Joe

Hi pimeto, I can’t really help with Vray as I don’t use it in Softimage, sorry. If you need help using Vray, SI with sIBL. Try this website for more information http://www.hdrlabs.com/

Hi Pimeto. No problem. Perhaps you could start your own thread on the HDRLabs forum or on another forum related to sIBL and ask related questions there.

thanks Lee

great results with your renders, Lee!
Congrats!
I would definitely try Arnold if it was possible with Maya, although I’m fine with Mental Ray.
