Images through IE - looks like 256

Just recently, I have noticed that the images I view using IE 6 look like they have been reduced to 256 colors - Some banding. I have mode no changes that I know of. My Display settings are at True color. I can find no options through Internet Options (I am blind though). If I save an image from the web browser and open in with Photoshop, its fine.

Any suggestions?

I’ve heard that some websites are designed to display in fewer colors. Maybe that’s it.

You can always try searching the MS Knowledge Base…

Check that you have the latest version, of course…
