I had a farm in Africa at the foot of the Ngong Hills..

very lovely done,great. :+1:

Really great work man!
how impressive for such a short timeline…

Very cool! Love it. :+1:

[email protected], haha thanks man, my first version did have some naked bits but i figured i’d go in a diffrerent direction.

Rodion, thanks man thats a big plus coming from you, i wish i could work as fast as you do.

Super, yeah it was very tight and i lost enthusiasm after some crashes, but it helped because it made me focus more on what really needed to be done in the time alloted, i’d still love to work on it more but am now afraid i’d mess it up. thanks again.

Looking good, spaceboy!! :+1:

I love the layout of that comp  . Happy to see someone else did a speed sculpt of something that isnt ready to chomp youre head off haha. I do plan on adding more to my sloth…but I know I wont be be very high on the ladder, it was a fun personal project tho!

aminuts, thanks man, you’ve helped me much in the past.

AA-ron, haha i don’t know you know what they say about a woman scorned…
i’m not expecting to be high on that ladder either but i thought it would be fun and about time i started trying out these challenges, can’t wait to see your finished slothman.

what do zbrush, kung fu have in common?

all students of both soon surpass their masters!! :stuck_out_tongue:

I hope you take her to some kind of final colored illustration (haven’t gone back again to read the goal for this piece…been awhile and I have forgotten)…since you have brought her to life…don’t make her exist in Pleasantville…let her live!!! woohooo!

I second aminuts, once you submit the final you should paint her. She has a ton of character :+1:

thanks guys, i already submitted that one above as the final, the one with the quote.
i do intend on finishing her and painting her, but i’m getting sidelined by wanting to enter that CGchallenge with the robots, so maybe after that.

aa-ron, didn’t see your sloth in the final page, hopefully you’ll finish before tomorrow.

i’m currently trying to do another challenge which i started yesterday but after next week i will definitly get back to finishing her up.

heres a low quality turntable of her, if anyone knows how to make photobucket not totally compress and destroy videos that are already in .flv format i’d like to know. oops wrong link.

Good job man! A serious contender for the prize.

I am so sorry I didn’t open this thread before, Space…I glance at titles and don’t often notice who started the thread, so it went right by me.

Unfortunately, I am moving today and decided to check ZBC one last time before I pack the PC. So, I don’t have time right now to check out the challenge/rules/other entries, etc. But, being a fan of yours the way that I am, I can already tell you that I like Ms. Giraffe. She has an old world charm, reminds me a bit of Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca for some reason.

I’ll get in touch with you after June 4th, when I’m back online. Looking forward to seeing the robot, too…if you go for it.

Haha, actually I submitted mine about 16 minutes after you did  Im right under you. I remembered I didnt have enough time left so I was only able to do a few tweaks before composeing it. Oh well, fun challenge and a good portfolio piece. I really like how your final comp turned out! Excellent!

I see you have a number of votes already! Good luck.

Just saw this and thought id drop by. Great bust and good luck with the contest:)

Thanks a lot guys, it was fun and as you said a great portfolio piece, something i’ve been meaning to do forever.

aa-ron i liked your slothman its too bad you didnt have time to finish.

johnnyraptor, that boar was great too, but why did your final submission image look blurry?
