ZBrushCentral

Howdy y'all :)

Hi! I just wanted to jump in here and introduce myself. I’m new to zbrush and must say that I’m more than a little intimidated by this program. As I’ve read some of the posts here and looked at the artwork, I’m totally blown away by what you can do with this program! You’re all so helpful with the new people, I can only hope that I won’t become a pain by asking tooo many questions. Thanks for making all this information available! I can’t tell you how happy I was to discover this community!

Hello Linon, welcome to ZBC! Ask all the questions you need, and be sure to check out the Quicklinks (upper-right corner) if you haven’t already.

Welcome L, and as Muvlo has said, ask all the questions you want…That is what this place is about!

Welcome aboard! :+1:

A warm welcome to ya! Please ask questions. You won’t find a much easier crowd to work with. This is the place to be!

Hey Linon! welcome to ZBC

As a fairly new guy myself, I certainly understand about being intimidated by the program at first

But run the Zscripts that come with the program, check out some of the QuickLinks, download a few tutorial scripts, and do a lot of doodling and playing around with various settings so you can get a feel for how things work

Don’t try to learn everything at once – focus most on the features that are relevant to what you would like to do … after a little while, things will start to integrate

Eventually, you will feel more confident about what you can do with the program

Best wishes,

Kevin

Hi, Linon. Just wanted to ‘second’ what everyone else has said. Welcome aboard!

Wow! Thanks for the great welcome! I’m loving it here already! Those zscripts are the doo doo! It amazes me to just sit and watch them as they go through all those steps. Will I ever be able to do that?! Ugh… it’s all so confusing right now. lol… but I guess that’s how everyone starts out. Confused. …taking my little confused self back to zbrush to try some more. Thanks again, everyone!!

Well, it took me 4 days to learn Zbrush. I can give you a tip. Open the load zcript dialog then look for a txt-file named start_modeling in the zbrush folder. Load it. Then klick on the button ‘‘Start modeling session’’ Now you are ready to beginn modeling!

Thanks, deks!! This script really has helped me to get off to a good start. I’m not ready to share anything I’ve done yet … lol … it’ll take me awhile to work up my courage there. But at least I’m doing some actual modelling now.

Welcome aboard Linon!! Nice to meet you!!! :+1: :+1: :+1:

Welcome Linon! Good to have more people using ZBrush.

My two cents on learning ZBrush…Spend about a week or two reading the manual and downloading all the ZScripts you can find an play them 2 or 3 times. This should help you get a feel for the program (this is what I did…not THE way to learn but A way). There are tons of ZScripts available. The quicklinks is also an important link to answer some of your immediate questions, finding specialized ZScripts, and tons of tips and tricks. If you feel you need a direct answer though, then feel free to ask anything any time.
This place is really friend and double that when it comes to help.
