How to Scale in Edit mode

In the Essentials tutorial about using the Edit button, the narrator talks about and demonstrates rotating, moving and scaling. When you hit the Edit button you can rotate your object by just moving the mouse with the left button pressed. If you hold the Alt key and move the mouse, you can move the object. But then the guy says “and you can scale” and he has not pressed the scale button. What is the keyboard combination that he is using to scale in the Edit mode.
And where in the Help could I find this answer. I couldn’t find it.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the link. I’m looking for the keyboard shortcut as described in my previous post. As said, I have looked through the documentation and I looked again. If anyone would be kind enough to tell me the answer to this question, I would appreciate it.
If you know the answer, it should be just as easy to type out the key combination as the link to the help files.

Be a pal and just tell me the answer.

q is draw w is move e is scale I think, and r is rotate
Straight across, it’s also in the video tutorials.

Actually it’s not a scale, what you do in edit mode is zooming your model in and out. To do this press alt, drag mouse and RELEASE alt key, while mouse is yet pressed. A bit confuse, but with some practice you’ll do it perfectly.
