As modo doesn’t do 99% of what zbrush doe,s it is not a competitor. Unless you count unreleased previews which are obvioulsy subject to change… If Ryan or the other guys here have a problem with this thread they will move or delete it accordingly this is satisfactory for us and it should be for you.

You are the only person who is taking issue with this honestly. I am sorry you feel so strongly about this but you are taking it way out of proportion. The zbrush community forum is for all non-zbrush posting and this falls well under that catagory and we are not blatantly advertising Modo as a zbrush replacement. Zbrush is a fantastic application and we are in contact with Pixologic and fully support the application in our contests and forum. Please, let this issue drop and allow other users to enjoy themselves. Thank you.

The spider is the main subject of the scene but you are able to create anything else you want, put it in any situation or just focus your time and skills on making the best looking spider and create fine details and textures. The spider can be mechanical, can be organic what ever your imagination creates is perfectly acceptable and we encourage people to stray from the common.
Ok, Ill tell you what Im going to do. You sold me. Im going to enter your little Modo commercial and whoop some ass. Ill model maybe a vertex( but it will be the “most important, primary” vertex) in Modo and “supplement” the rest. We’ll see how well I do in the judging. (This also should make it clear to everyone that when I dont win, its because of a global Modo conspiaracy, and nothing at all to do with me “sucking”

I like the contest. Now after another app besides Modo can be used I’m all in.
I also like the effort put into the contest itself. Cool ref images. I hope the luxo’s are sponsoring their site a bit. It’s expensive and time consuming to run a site like that.
