its actually mental ray in max. I was playing around with the MR sun system and the sss materials and came up with this stone texture.

[squidy.jpg[/ATT]%3C/font%3E"]here’s something Ive been messing around with mostly for just goofing around with different brushes and techniques. Im diggin the clay build up brush. I started using the rake brush for skin variation and little tight skin stretches which breaks up the skin nicely.
Im tring to figure out what I want to do for the forehead… was thinking a brain up there, but might be too busy, and also too much like an octabrain.

Have’nt done any quick sketches in a while… decided to play around with building from scratch and rendering passes out of Zbrush. Whole thing took about 3 hours or so.
