Grangle

hey brett this guy is very funny, i very like it. :+1:

Your work is awesome and always inspires me to sit down and do more work. Thanks for sharing.

Everytime you post a new work, it gets better and better, your textures are really well done. The Hillbilly and your fathers portrait really reflect the amount of work you’ve been doing. Its great to see you excell. I have to get back to finishing off some work its just been to busy too do, but soon.

Great work bud! I’m really digging the work that you are producing. Are you rendering the portrait in Maya. If so I have had this problem. If you do not set your aspect ratio and image size while in the Maya software settings under the render globals it will get messed up. There is some sort of bug in the Mental Ray tab settings? Don’t know what it is but I was having the same problem, just switch it in the MS settings and the go to the MR settings and everything will be fine!

I think that your Hillbilly should meet my alien in a field some day!

Hello again.

rodion vlasov: Thanks dude. Glad you like him enough to have a laugh :D.

r0xmys0x: haha. Glad I’m not the only one feeling pressure from the insane talent out there. Shooo!

threetails: Thanks bud. Will be cool to see you post again .

nickz: Thank you sir ;). Thanks for the help. I’ve been racking my brain all day. It may be my focal length set to 60. Or like you said my aspect ratio. Though I haven’t touched my aspect ratio at all. Hmmm. Why can’t things just be simple eh? Maybe my eye has just realised I made hime to fat. I’m man enough to admit it. Maybe thats what it is. Hmmm.

How awesome would it be seeing this hillbilly dude on a tractor running into your alien! Hahahaha. Man what a laugh that would be. hahaha:D.

Did you fix this ?
If not, in photoshop you have an option in 7th menu called pixel aspect correction or something like that. Sorry my photoshop is in french !
This is an issue to fix this when you save your file in jpg for example. I hope it will help.

hey gpepper thanks for the help. I can only check out the issu now that I’m home. I’d like it fixed in maya. In case I want to render a turnaround someday. I know what you speak of. Thanks again for your help :+1:

Maybe its just me that thinks its stretched?

hehe - I really like that dude - lots of character!

Great update on Adam.

I don’t know if there is any way to fix it in Maya. The only issue that I use to know is to banish the jpg to save renders !

Hello again

Intervain: Thank you for replying! I love your work!

piz: Hehe. Glad you like him. Not sure why I called him adam. Hehe.

gpepper: I think i found the issue. Its the film aspect ratio. Got to set it to 1.33. Doh! Ye why does photowop do that aspect thing on jpegs? Odd…

take a look at your render settings, maybe the aspect ratio is not 1 pix height and width in maya…
And jpeg is always 1pix, maybe…

Hello.

After browsing http://www.thesculptorscorner.com/. I decided I’d give a sphere head a bash. Inspired by Andy Bergholtz. Hope you like it.

Cheers
Brett

Wow! Great Sculpt Buddy!!! :+1: :sunglasses:

Thats a fantastic sphere head mate. I’m always impressed when you can’t tell it was made from just a sphere  Keep up the awesome work :+1:

He he it’s me again. I have to tell you Grangle wow oh wow he is such a great character. I love the new updates of him. I especially love that close up bust shot he just pops out at ya. He is looking so real. yes still sculpting making a full pic kinda Brian Froud style, too little time in the day these recent days, and not wanting to put anything up till I am happy with it. Also love your Brawler he looks soo cool. and by the way thanks for the laugh on the hillbilly I really needed some humor as of late.
Your tribute to dad looks great. The only thing on his hair that I see is the fact that there are no baby hairs/fine hairs around his hair line. Mustache is great and so real looking.
hope all is going well for you and take care.

Hey guys thanks for the comments.

piz: Thanks dude

r0xmys0x: Thanks man. I think this new sphere head will be my last. Its a lot of hard work I won’t lie

Seavannah: Thank you for your kind words. I’ve rendered out a full body turnaround of grangle but have nowhere to put it.. Haha. Ah well.
I agree competely about the hair. I don’t even like moustache. HAha. What can I say. Work work work  Hope to see your stuff soon!

Anyways…Here’s another sphere head. Hope you like his mug

Your faces are outstanding, great character in everyone of them you really are a very talented artist and an source of endless inspiration. Keep up the great work my friend. :+1:

Hei Brett,

your faces look all well. I really like the fact that you also put some emotions in it, to make 'em more “livelike”.
Anyways I guess there is missing some mesh density in some regions for example the lips or ears. I just ask myself, why you did not add clay to the bumps of the rinkles in your last models?

Cheers “ko’gen”.

nice work. very beautiful model. i like it. :+1:
