grats on top row man! can’t wait to see more from you
Awesome Man!!
2 Walts in a row! That’s not every day
Ridonculously awesome!! (and damn you, you stole my idea for a project!! :p). Now, if you have time, you should make a tutorial of how you created him for the rest of us schlubs.
…Thanks for sharing, keep up the good work!!
Thanks for the top row at ZBC, it is a dream come true for me to be on the top row with all these great artists, i am so honored.
Thank you all for the support and kind words as well, i especially have to thank (Rafael Grassetti, Care Michaud, Isabelle Power, Darcy Korch and Patrick Switzer) who have been giving me critiques and advises so i can capture his likeness this well. Thanks again!
I will for sure make some tutorials after i finish my max render of him, but before i do that, i still want to fix some small details that i didnt do in zbrush.
Some people have been giving me advises about the beard, so i remade the beard, also added some facial hair, eyebrows and hair on his head all in zbrush. My goal is to do a realistic version just in zbrush and one in max. Hope you guys like what i did on him, thanks again for all the support!!
Here are some new update with new beard, eyebrows, facial hair and hair on his head. i also included a screenshot just in zbrush to show all the fiber mesh on him, cheers!!

Glad to see your work hitting Top Row! Well deserved! Really awesome likeness you’ve crafted here Frank, and the best part is that your clay renders still scream Heisenberg to me.
Pixologic should be recognized as well! As an artist it was refreshing to see that just because one Walter White had made Top Row already, didn’t stop them from recognizing another deserving sculpt right next to it!
My hats off to both your work and Pixo’s willingness to recognize great work!small_orange_diamond

awesome work … really impressive
First of all Kudos to Frank for making in Top Row list…
You are amazing Frank… you captures every single detail very closely… You truly deserve top row. It’ll be great if you made a little tutorial about the whole thing… I am really keen to know how you did it… I know you uses the references to match his likeness, but my concerns is how you really made then to work for you.
It is truly inspirational.
Regards,
Amit
I have a question, When you are lighting your scene. Have you ever had an issue with lights aimed to the side of the model with shadows enabled casting strange shadows that seem to be on the opposite side?
Excellent work Frank! Congrats on the top row.
beautiful sculpt, DEAD-ON walt! awesome
Congratulations Frank you did a wonderful work with this guy, have lots of personality my mind goes about the character and not the technique, which I think is the goal in every sculpt project.
Impressive work! Great likeness, proportions and skin details
great stuff frank. you worked hard on this and it paid off. kudos!
Great! I love the hair as well
That’s more photorealistic than 90% of the actual taken with a camera photos you see on the internet! Brilliant work.
How many polys?

This looks Fantastic!!!
perfact!!
RonArt, the low poly head is around 3k polys
Hey guys, Thank you all for the kind words, this is one of my final render, the one without beard, i have been trying to get the skin looks right, finally get to a point that i am comfortable to show you guys, this is rendered in maya mental ray, using 5 maps for the skin sss render, 4 lights to set up the scene, i rendered out each light and composting in photoshop, background is also photoshop, i am at a point that i am tired just by looking at him, so i guess i will try to do another project first and then come back to finish this beard, and i will try to find some time to do the tutorials, thanks for all of your support and hope you guys like him, C& C are always welcome!
