Farscape Scarran

I think I’m going to add a body to this and make it a multi mammaried female Gorn.

Multi mamaried? lol awesome i think you should too

Feels weird posting to my own thread but here you go.

OK, watch out, I’m going to get all critiqu-y on your ass now

As I said elsewhere, I think it looks great. There is a bit of it that is bugging me. Ignore me if this makes no sense.

My assumption about the eyes is that they are sunken, as in a dead person might have. So what you might see is the bone of the skull where the eyses go. And this looks great at the top, and all around the zygomatic process and bone. (hey, I used a tichnical term), however as it approaches the nose, it all looks a little too far forward. to me. I like the transition between the bone and the eye, but I want it to be further back from the nasal bone.

As ever with my comments, listen to them, or banish them to the bin as the ramblings of a befeebled eejit

No, no, thanks for that.
I missed dragging that area back a bit more.
That’s what happens when you look at something too long!

A bit of tweaking and a rough hair paint over.
I think it has gotten a lot closer now to what I want it to be in the end.

Looks great.

Thanks Gordon!

Hmmmm okay so I tried a render of the model in Lightwave and everything was fine until I applied the exported Normal map.
See attached.

WeLl that’s not good. Have you tried the process with a simple mess to see if it’s they same?

That will be up next along with scouring posts about the “Net” for people having a similar problem.
Had a thought yesterday that this thing looks like a mummified Jean Luc Picard!

Looking nice! Is it the white walker from Game of Thrones?
http://images.wikia.com/gameofthrones/images/9/92/Whitewalker.jpg This guy?

The beginnings of him yes

Now with a bit of frostbite…

Did you get anywhere with the Normal problem?

Sadly not had time.
Between looking after the grand kids and getting ready for a new son…things have been no productive in the 3D department.
I will though as this project is crying out for it I think.

More experimenting with a displacement map out of ZBrush into Lightwave.
Think I should have hit the “Fix Seams” button…

I do think I am getting closer to what I’m looking for though.

A it more in ZBrush…
