Your work in ZBrush is really good! Both characters have clean lines and great presence. I hope you keep us updated on all of your WIPs. The whole project seems like great fun! One question is the chain mail actual geometry or is it a transparency map?
Hey Guys,
The chainmail was actual geometry, we used syflex to simulate a cloth object to get the right weight and feel of the chainmail then we wrapped deformed the geometry to the colth piece. Here are some base blendshapes that was created with zbrush for the Avatar. Most of the images were rendered with MentalRay using Final gather.
COuld you tell more about your projectand compagny?
Man, that’s some sweet looking modeling, I just can’t say that enough. Why this isn’t top row yet, I don’t know. Awe inspiring work.
About the chainmail, that sounds just like the way Blizzard animated their chainmail in the Warcraft 3 cinematics.
Very nice stuff. Keep us updated.
Yay!! Top row! And your work absolutely deserves it.
i’m loving it… hope that one day i can make models look this good…

Thanks again guys. Here is a shot of the fullBody of the Avatar as well as some of the clothing. The project was done for the Guild Wars game cinematic.
Awesome! Love the gown (second to last pic) … very effective. All the modelling is so clean … very inspirational.

I like these pictures when Avatar show his emotions
Great job. I dont know how many hourss need to do something like that.
Man, that is so SLICK! You wouldn’t happen to be trained in traditional sculpting, would you? It really looks like you were, but if not, it makes your work that much more impressive.
Oh, and the first render reminds me of DevilMan. Really killer stuff.

oh and one more thing, will we perhaps be seeing this guy in the next Guild Wars installment (the winged guy that is)?
I think it might be the pose or the pecs, but that really reminds me of Mr Hyde (I think it was Hyde) from VanHelsing. It is very great work, though.
Can you give us a hint of what other project that guys from?
This is freaking awesome! I love it!
