Thanks, these will give you more insight than any timelapse by me ever could.
I spend most of my time studying real sculptors work-flows as that is what interests me most, I then try to adapt things to zbrush.

Here’s a few screen grabs of the base mesh i use, and the initial stages of a sculpt.
I only use the move and clay tubes brush to get this far, i try to avoid using undo instead i’d use the clay tubes brush and alt to carve away any mistakes.
I very rarely use the smooth brush, if at all until the very end of the sculpt.
I also don’t go up and down subdivision levels, i just jump in at high level.
Hope that gives you a little insight as to what i do.

Here’s the result of the above with a little tweeking, going over it with the smooth valance brush and a bit of Dam Standard. Rendered in Octane
