really nice anatomy dude I like that:lol:
Ok so I decided to over use my SSS material on my older male bodybuilder model and add some some sci fi pants,. I still plan on using this character to add the obligatory space marine suit, to practice my hard surface modeling.
xsyx-Thanks alot!
prahlad333-Thanks also.
I had to work mostly on the girl’s torso, as it was not right at all. I was able to adjust the shoulders and the legs a bit as well. Still have not worked on hands and feet.
I started some hard surface sculpting over the girl model, it is really rough at the moment. Just trying to concept the suit on the fly and figuring out how to extract a decent mesh with group loops.
I finished extracting the armor, I have not done any sculpting yet. I really do not like the gloves and boots, and I am not sure about the floating “fins” on the back, but I something to sculpt on. Watching the Mike Jensen video helped a lot, I am only half way through but I am much more comfortable with Zbrush already, and especially customizing my UI.
I cannot imagine sculpting the way I used to where I would open menus and slide everything. Now everything is clickable on a bar somewhere. Anyway, here is a shot of last nights progress.
Your work has improved greatly! 5 stars.
Thanks so much Eric, I am really loving Zbrush and it has really helped me improve as an artist.
Redo on the boots and helmet. Also included a few tweaks, I think I will start the sculpting now.
I have not had much time to sculpt lately so I updated an old model. I had to do some retopology in maya, a process I still find painful but do-able. I may actually complete this character unlike the rest. C&C are always welcome of course. These pinkish renders were done in Modo. Cheers.
This guy is turning out great
The torso area is what I like the most especially the pecs, delts and biceps!
Not sure about the angle of his hands though, think they needs to be straightened out more
I would also tone down the upper area of his thighs
Cheers,
//Jonas
Energise-I agree it was one of the first things I tried to fix this morning.
I also did a little polypainting and more tweaks.
Amazing. I like the anatomy of his upper body. thumbs up
Have not updated in a while, mostly because I have been fighting with making the boots. After several iterations however, I ended up constructing the a base mesh for the boots one polygon at a time, just extruding in Maya.
Over all I like how it turned out so far, and it was an instructive experience. I should add that I loosely followed the guide provided by Cedric Seaut, especially on the eyelets of the boots.
The Sword WIP was done rather quickly as a base mesh again to have a solid structure to sculpt on.

you may want to rework your edge loops to get harder edges.
soulty~Yep, I might go back in throw some in, I have a work flow down out this point. But I will sculpt a bit in zbrush first and see where I am at, The Pommel has edge loops, but I was not sure if I liked the blade yet.
I just started with the new Head tool and pushed and pulled, exported to Maya, de-triangle, retopo-ed, and quick paint job and render.

Here is a shot of a new female I have been working on. This was done from scratch, but I think the body looks very similar to my last female body in this thread. That is probably due to common reference images. Anywho, I am trying to work through the 4R2 features and at the same time improve my anatomy.
Cheers, comments and criticisms are appreciated.
