Hey guys, I appreciate all the help in these forums! I have a file that is in Blender but I want it in Zbrush. So far I have not been able to get it over. Any ideas?
Hi @buck27
There is GoB. It’s a GoZ between Blender and ZBrush. Link below. Other than that, you have to use OBJ or FBX files.
First, thank you for the help.
so I downloaded the files, unzipped, went in Blender and added them to the add-on install but I do not see them anywhere
You don’t have to unzip the files. In Blender > Preferences > Add-ons, click install and navigate to the zip flie and select it.
You also might have GoB installed already but an older version. In Blender Add-ons, scroll down until you see “Import-Export:GoB” then enable it.
In “C:\Users/Public/Pixologic/GoZApps”, there should be a “Blender” folder. If there isn’t, in the GoB zip file you downloaded, there is a Blender folder. Unzip the file and place that Blender folder in “C:\Users/Public/Pixologic/GoZApps”. Then, in ZBrush, you have to enable Blender as current GoZ application. To do that, Click on “Tool > R” and select “Blender” (see image)
When done, you should have two new buttons in Blender. (see image)
Working on it right now! Thank you so very much for helping me out. I was able to get the app installed in blender now and have the 2 buttons up top. I am now trying to get Zbrush to find Blender but I think because I downloaded through Steam it doesn’t see it.
Ok, I got it to find Blender but its now telling me to set my zbrush path?
Can you post a screenshot of the message? Also some help below to get you started.
Locate your ZBrush .exe file
OMG! I feel so dumb right about now!
Thank you
You’re welcome! No problem.
how to fix it?
