First I loved the head modeling… then I loved the body modeling… mad! this is coming out great!
I could say more compliments… but pretty much everybody else has already said it.
Very Fine work Madmac, congratulations

Dont worry I wont give up on the feathers I was just jealous so I had to say something. Can we see the basemesh you made for the torso I always like to see how people start because it gives me a better sence of my own work habits. Hope to see some updates on this guy and best of luck with the newborn.
great anatomy and great style as alaways!
congrats
Supersharp muscle-definition… " Mud" in the eye of the folks who think that ZBrush meshes are to soft !

Hello Madmac,
Your charecter is realy eay catching. I like to see your full cherector . So hurry up I am wating hear…
I know it might be too much to ask for a recorded sesion… but… I think we ALL could benefit from this… oh well… maybe not you
Have fun with the newborn… they don’t stay like that for very much time
eddski: Thank you…I really enjoy those subtle details like the skin you mentioned, I wanted to put more on it but I was worried it would look a little too conrtived.
Mahikus The Black: Thanks for the kind words!
Maya4fun: I appreciate the compliment… thanks
elarcano: I’m very glad you like it… I’ll try not to drop the ball on the second half.
Evan Gough: I love to hear what people think good or bad… If you didn’t like something I would hope you would say so without any hesitation. I might not agree but it is still good to hear. Looking at our work with a different perspective will undoubtedly make us better
Basemesh…absolutely, here you go.
Thanks I’ll need all the luck I can get with a newborn
Drummer: Thank you very much.
jantim: HAHAHAHAAH yeah I would like to see them try and pull off a zpetrok, metamesh, skycastle model or any of the hundreds of great models produced on this forum with Sub-D’s. Silly people… Oh and thank you very much for the compliment
vishal mahajan: I’m going as fast as I can
Damn it might have took years to achieve this level of details without miror…
Have u rever tryed to skin mid res model, then to pose after, not lowest res?
Must be a nightmare to sculpt an oriented face or body…
elarcano: I have a rediculous script of a fishhead I made one day just playing around. It’s not very good but it might have given you an idea of my work flow. I was about to upload it but it seams that it is too big. Apparently there is a 500k limit on zip files and this one happens to be 606k
When I get some spare time I’ll make another one… hopefully I can get it smaller.
Or you can give me your e-mail and I can send it to you that way if you still want it.
just amazing work!! great inspiration!!
Alex Oliver
wow,
very nice shape, i love the definition and proportions
hope to see more progress
can you please send me the script:

Now I remember where I saw this style before…Reflexive Entertainment .
You posted fish models. Clinical but expressive and cool!
alexia: Thank you, I’ve gotten plenty of inspiration from your work as well!
WAII: Here’s a link to the script so you or anyone else that is interested can grab it.
http://www.jeffmcateer.com/linked/FishheadScript.zip
The script does work but you have to jump through a few hoops first.
Ok, so fallow these directions and it should work… hopefully
Monitor Resolution 1280 X 1024 ( I don’t know if this is nessesary)
Document Size W=1200 H=900
Import the script… this is the dumb part. It will first ask you to load a tool… click “CANCEL”
Imediately after that it will ask you to import a file, at this time locate the “FishHead.obj” (I attached it in the same zip file as the script)
It should run fine after this
pride: Thanks…yeah that’s me
Thank you madmac, the script shows your workflow and inspires me a lot. I like how you model the fish head so subtle and very realistic. Thank you again.
thanks for the script
its very detailed
Hey guys, sorry to bump in, I like the structure of your art, and the gesture you get here, this is really nice, reminds me a lot of dark crystal and slaine.
BTW i tried your script, when i run it, i get strange stuff happening, i keep seeing your work in low subdivision and in the right bottom corner of the screen, this is strange. I did all you said about screen space and loading obj, still no luck to get it working properly. Would it be possible to get a QT or upload a version the pixologic site ?
THX a lot
Love the pose you choose. Great work, keep it up!
The script has a few glitches but runs after a “restart”. When it finished I had a great looking fish as a Ztool so I put the inflated head on the 'Super Average Man" body and got a neat monster. Really good to see how other people work. I must buy more tips for Wacom.
Thanks
David
Same here for the script. Just looks like he’s rotating about the model a million times in the lower right hand corner. Followed the instructions but no luck. Ah well. Great sculpt thus far man. Really inspiring work.
Sebcesoir: It did take me longer for sure… but it wasn’t too painful. I’ll try posing a higher rez version on my next project… thanks for the tip!
SolidSnakexxx: No problem at all… I’m glad it was useful
WAII: you’re very welcome:)
Sleepwalker: Thanks for the compliments! As for the script… well I honestly don’t know what to tell you. I am not the most technical of people. I sent it to a couple of my friends to test it out before I posted it. They didn’t have any problems… I’m sorry that it isn’t working for you.
There might be hope though, I sent the script to Ryan Kingslien, so maybe he’ll be able to clean it up so it works better
pride: I’m glad it worked and that you found it useful
Dubb: I’m very sorry it didn’t work for you I obviously didn’t do something right… but like I told Sleepwalker Ryan Kingslien might be able to save the day (if I didn’t screw it up too bad of course)
i have tryed your techniqe and came up with this.
i know its not so nice an detailed as yours, but im already happy with the results, but i will work more on it
thanks again for this good inspiration and the script
hope to see an update on the birdguy
