Im finding constant crashes as well. One thing that seems to always crash it is altering the document size to anything other than default. I have windows 7 64 bit 8 gig at home and it crashes much more often on it than it does on xp 64 at work. Im frustrated and hoping for a solution but no hope after many many searches online.

Hoping for a fix too. Running Win 7 64 bit with 8 gig ram. Crashes are driving me insane (same problem with version 3.5). I was hoping that Auto recovery would be a solution, but unfortunately it didn’t work. Maybe I should go back to Zbrush 3.1. At least it was a lot more stable.
I am having a lot of crashes too with Z-Brush 4 under Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit. A quicksave with iteration feature would be very handy. I find myself saving obsessively (a habit I already have) but the worry about crashing is slowing down my work a bit.
Svengali wrote a killer quick-save add-on which works in Z4.
Hey.
While the autofile recovery works for me (Win7pro x64) it also kills my ability to browse properly. (it somehow is allergic to “my computer” so if I ever need to browse all the way back to access a different partition, I’m outta luck.)
Like most, I guess, I kinda adapted to this problem by using Lightbox for the vast majority of my browsing. While it seems slower and more cumbersome than browsing normally, I find it makes it faster and easier if I put down shortcuts in all major directories I need to access while using ZBrush, so no matter what directory I’m in, I can get to all the others I need. It’s a very blunt and simple “work around”, that most of you have likely tried, but it works for me. (And I’d rather not miss out on the autofile recovery feature, as it sure is might handy)
