Won very nice ! you paint the statue ?

Thank you  possibly a colleague of mine who’s experienced on miniatures painting might take care of the model.

Hey great work! Lovely print!

Lol I like Ivi drink, you must be from Greece!

Glad you like it Darukin  And yes, I am from Greece

A couple of days ago I doodled on a bust using as reference photos of a sculpture made by Aris Kolokontes,
http://www.myspace.com/boularis, an artist whose work I admire.

        Here's a photo of the reference :

The 3 versions are different variations of skin color I did, while playing with

layers in Photoshop

:sunglasses:

HEY Nick…:+1:
Maybe put the blue eyes from #3 into #2…will tie it in with the background color, as does the jewel around #2’s neck also does…Just a thought that popped into my head…

Heheh thanks Ares, too bad it needs much more work yet to be printed :frowning:

Glenn! hello my friend! You’re actually very right, I’m still messing with the color combinations you know and I will follow your advice about the eyes,
thank you

Thank you Glenn for the tip

This turned out real nice Nick! Good show. I especially like the render. Was this done in ZBrush or XSI? Keep crankin’ them out

Very well done. No crits, just a nice image.

Hey Stephen, thank you very much my friend! Your work and progress keep being an inspiration for me
The images are Photoshop compositings of multiple ZBrush renders;
other renders done for diffuse, others for masks, others for speculars and shadows and such and such… Soft was used for the base model+uv map
and also for the jewel.

dustinbrown - thanks alot! I can already see lots of mistakes and points for fixing, hope that next one will be a decent one

That’s my first full color 3d print, done here in Athens, by 3DPS facilities,
http://3dps.net/ , with a ZPrinter 450. The texture colors of the bust were modified a bit, for the 3dprint. I will possibly use some varnish later on the model to grasp the speculars.
Many thanks to Phaedra and Panagiotis, the heads of 3DPS, for their great support

Wonderful :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

What a great design of alien!also, the print it’s awesome

Nice print :grimacing: I got to do this to one of my models soon! That must be cool having it in 3d on your desk.

Dang that is a really sweet sculpt and awesome print.
But how did you make that background on that final image?

the sculpt is really great but it’s kinda sad that the quality of the print isn’t that good. how much did you pay for this? did you already check out the ownage.com prints? they are unbeatable.every print is a masterpiece of art. but i guess you got your print for a cheap price. in my opinion, pay more get more. but as i said the sculpt is great.
