Alice in wonderland -The Mad Hatter-

Wonderful character lovely renders , I must ask you did you render this in ZB or some other application ???

Thank you very much guys, your comments are really appreciated ; )

The model is rendered with Maya Mental ray

Fully Sculpted, textured (all the textures are hand painted) and posed with ZBrush.

Hello

I’m a pretty big fan of Alice In Wonderland (as you can see from my nickname) and I’d like to congratulate you for this great pic. I think you really caught the essence of the books there, I’d say this is better than Tim Burton’s version of the character.

I’m trying to learn how to better paint my characters and I’d really appreciate it if you could tell me which technique you used (did you paint with zbrush or photoshop etc.).

Thanks and good luck with future projects

Thank you

I use polypainting in ZBrush. When it’s done I convert polypainting in texture (I try to get a large texture like 4K or so) and open PS where I just import this texture and make final adjustments and add fine details.

Don’t hesitate if you have more questions

As I said this character was created for a complete artwork.

Have you ever thought of making a tutorial? This is fantastic work!

Oh. My. God. As if it wasn’t the most awesome thing already. Is there something HIGHER than the TOP ROW?

Stunned. Can’t stop looking at it!

:+1: :+1: :+1:

Thank you guys, I’m glad you like this final image !
I’m currently writing a making-of for a magazine but I don’t know if I can say more about it for the moment…

Here are some wip images on the backround anyways :
