I have had this idea bouncing around in my head for a while. What do you think of the idea of creating a post along the lines of “Joe Smith’s Portfolio” or “Joe Smith Presents:” or something to that effect? The idea is this: To create a post that has a long life-span where instead of creating new posts for each new image we create we simply post them to our porfolio thread. You could have a thread running multiple pages with dozens of pictures that you have created over a long timeframe and all in one place. I know I have difficulty finding all the threads I have created (and I have bookmarked quite a few). This would make it easire to keep track of and for other people to see your work. It would also be a more accurate reflection of our work as we progress. It’s just an idea. What do you think? Would this be acceptable to Pixologic/Moderators? Would this cause problems?
Mentat, there’s nothing to stop you or anyone else doing that right now. It’s not against any rules.
If that’s what you need to do I say go for it.
I think it is an excellent idea. Going back to October 11 2001 to find all my images would be a headache.
I still think it would be worth it.

I also believe that there are plans to create a gallery that will allow members to view all images that have been posted by a particular member. But that most likely will not be completed until after 1.5 is out.

I like the way the forum is set-up now because
- I’m addicted to newness.
- I learn alot from posted problems and solutions.
- I enjoy looking at everyones work.
- I take delight in checking the response to any work I have posted.
Athough I do have favourite Atists, I enjoy viewing the cross section of work.
I think it would limit interactivity and threaten to reduce the forum to an elite club.
Newbies will be neglected and helped less, and then we all learn less.
If there were a way to turn the ‘view previous posts’ button into a portfolio button/link, thats great.
But don’t mess with sucess, the forum works well.
My two cents. 
Maybe it is nothing new for you, but you can search the website by members number. Actually, there could be some improvement to sort threads to POSTED and REPLIED in Search in pull down menu for better organization. :qu:
