chesire monkey-thnx a lot …i hope i wil get better

Well yes, it is hard to resist inspiration, but there is a time to explore your creativity and a time for the drudgery of repeated study. So long as you manage to balance them.

i m taking my hands off this thing i gues…
tried my lvl best but is crapy…

Pretty nice. Fairly basic, but nice volume and a good understanding of major landmarks. mouth is a bit bizarre though. I mean, I realize it’s supposed to be a bit bizarre, but it doesn’t contour properly around the teeth and the fact that it has more detail than the rest of the face makes it seem a bit odd as well.

good to see your still improving :+1:

the guy with his arms crossed looks very good compared to your first models there are still some anatomy probs but on the whole its a good model and shows your getting better.

the latest guy is freaky… but in a good way, keep putting more real facial anatomy into those monsters and they’ll continue to look better and better

keep it up
:sunglasses:

twitch-you r right about the lips…i got tempted to do the details and swrewed it up…wel…thnx a lot for the advise

hd bg addict-hey mate…tring to learn anatomy as muchas i can…thnk u

oopps forgot to mention that its a WIP…only have spend 1 hr or soon this …

so obviously a lot more to go!!

WOW! pretty sweet! For critiques, I’d say that the figure seems a bit too rounded, and the weight of that sledge could be expressed better. Let me also say that your forms seem to be pretty solid and to my mind, that’s the hard part! So Good work!

Aye, kudos for this one. A tip I got was to look from underneath the model and see if the forms were protruding properly. Build up the forms a bit more, use some bold strokes to delineate one form from another, and focus on muscle flow, but I’d say this is quite a strong start.

Oh, and just a personal preference tip, you could use the green clay material for posting on the forum. It makes any sculpt look a lot more polished and it still gives us a good impression of the form. Not a necessity, just something I like to do.

SNAG-thnxx a lot brother…u r right…its rounded…so i have taken ur advise in mind…and worked on it…howz it…

twitch-wat does aye kados mean…and thnx a lot!!!
(and i dint understand the material that u were talikng about!!!)

wel…head and legs are left…
tried to get the forms right as far as i can…hav to work a lot on it…
working hard to get better
ZBrush Document.jpg

Aye, kudos means yes, congratulations basically.

What I meant by changing the material was that there is button, by default underneath the alpha and texture buttons which allows you to change the material of your sculpt. Fast shader is alright for showing the detail of the model, but green clay is much nicer to look at. Anyway, keep it up, this is progressing very nicely.

thnx twitch for compliments!!!
its WIP i repeat its a WIP…so pls abuse me as much as u can if possible so that i can improve
needed to show guys this stuff…its a concept which is gonna cum sumtimelater…

It is looking strong. I have critiques, but they’re best represented visually, so that’s how I’ll do it:

Just ask if you have any questions. My anatomy knowledge isn’t 100%, but my computer is surrounded by an anatomy model and poster, so it shouldn’t be too off.

Keep at it, your doing ok so far. Most of us learn the hard way, maybe thats the best way in some cases.

Take a body part at a time and work on it as a whole project. The head alone can take a very long time to get right let alone trying to do complete body characters.

tez-thank u tez for taking ur time and advising…thnx a lot…

twitch-mere dost(my friend in hindi) u r realy helpful…thnk u

wel…had messesd the back completely…an dint eve know that…
so a small update of the guy…i gues the back is better know…wat say???222.jpg

I’d say the back is a little nicer, at least as far as I can tell. I’d pull back the texture on the back and the ribs a bit. There may be some definition of the ribs on your character, but I’d make them more subtle. The back rippling just doesn’t seem logical for this sort of character. Keep it up.

Thnx twitch monkey i have smothen the ribs a bit…

wel…my first polypaint expericnce and even the projection master…
still a wip though…
i m not mention the concept that i m trying to express know, i guees i wil show u guys that in the later renders…
cape has to cum(its obvious)…and even teeth…
pls tel me how is it…

Are you making superman or some sort of bizarro villain?

If you’re making Superman, the muscles need to be pushed a lot further. Just more mass all the way around. Even if you’re not making superman, any sort of villain or hero is going to have more mass, unless it’s part of their persona that they have that look.

Unless that is the case, take a look at this thread:

http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=63687

The torso there is what you’re probably going to want to go for. There is also a drawing posted there that illustrates the size and shape of the important muscle groups. Superman may not be quite that bulky, but he should be close to that.

twitch, he could be making superman after the atomic blast as seen in The Dark Knight Returns.
