I'm a Tomb Raider fan haha ... nice surprise. Lara is a concept developed from Indiana Jones character ... I think is to far from it ... I mean nothing from the archeological world but it's a fine work. You are good ...keep on.

This is a particularly nice figure and shares many traits of other figures I've seen modeled in zBrush. What I don't seem to understand is what you do with a model like that. I'm guessing it's for cinematics as it looks too high poly for in-game, but who can tell these days.
Which program will this model be animated in? Will you have to convert parts of it to cloth for animation? How about rigid details, will they stay rigid when the character is animated? I'm assuming there are many groups in this model that can be exported with it, but beyond that I'd have no idea where to start. Sorry for these ridiculous questions. I've been messing around with CG for years, but there's just a huge gap between the methods I am comfortable with and what it must take to animate such a complex figure. BTW, this is very much what I thought the recent Shadowrun art should have looked like. |

She looks great! Kind of reminds me of Milla in that latest Resident Evil movie. Was it Extinction?

Thanks a lot for the replies.. really appreciate them all
![]() I agree that she might be looking like Milla from the Resident evil extinction movie.. but that wasnt really the thought from my side though.. I was looking for more like Rage/fallout post apocalyptic stuff.. well later on borderland too.. Thanks again .. Here are the final shots @ moogal : Well we dont really use these 5 to 10 mill poly meshs for animation.. that jus plain impossible :P.. its made to render Normal maps for the lowpoly model that goes in the game.. A Normal map is a technique to fake highres model detail on your lowpoly model.. Maybe the shots that I post below now will give in some insight. @3Dspin: Shots as requested.. thanks man ![]() Last edited by Smooth_Criminal : 08-31-09 at 04:58 PM. |
