Great shot, yes, those pores come out so well, those together with the tiny hair in the eyebrows and all the other small touches that make it so alive. It's really a screaming piece!

Great expression with a lot of energy, and it still feels natural.

That looks great! Is the hair a seperate subtool from the head?

Wow that scan data was a mess. I think considerable rework might be an understatement.

Thanks guys, The alphas that I used for the pores were the same ones that I posted long ago in my old man thread. I believe the alphas are still there if you want to use them. Hopefully I will get a chance to work on this guy more today and make him better. Thanks again.

Wow. Thats incredible. Amazing detailing. Compared to the scan this is leaps and bounds ahead. What a great way to previs on top of an actor. Would be cool to see hime evolve into a werewolf. Brilliant

Thanks guys.
Yes the hair is a separate subtool. Sorry I forgot to answer that last time.
Worked on him more today . Didn't do all that much but I downloaded a new matcap and was playing with that and I tried something stupid, again. I rendered one red one green one blue then In photoshop put them together all on different layers and adjusted the opacity to try and get a good flesh color.
It would have been easier just to polypaint him. With some playing around and some overlays of other colors I got this. I wanted to see him with some color.
Yes Brett, The plan is to change him into the wolfman.colorizebdt.jpg

It looks fantastic! It's just so utterly strong.

Very cool technique that of render split channels and unify then in Photoshop. I take your word that you may get the same with polypainting but this is a spectacular result, I just spent 5 minutes transfixed looking at the quality of the skin and the wonderful colour variations.
Last thing, how did you do those hair? They look very natural.
