Coastal houses used to be built with a small railed observation platform called a Widow's Walk where they could scout for seamen.
This image was a first for me in a few different areas. It was the first time I painted sky rather using than an alpha fog. I really had to force myself to use lighter lights and darker darks than my eye thought I needed to get the right effect. I also tried using sweep profiles for all the clothing on this one. Made modelling them a breeze compared to shaping a sphere. The biggest first for me was the ocean. My previous attempts at water have been interesting looking. A special thanks to DeeVee for his Seawater Script. It made water making so easy and realistic, thanks. |

Wonderful work, Tami, and a perfect mood...
I come originally from the East Coast, Nova Scotia to be exact, and they have both Widows' Walks, and just those kind of skies there. And you also did a perfect sea! |

Tag, thanks for sharing this image. I think it is an excellent image, very well done. It reminds me a little of SC's image on the three ladies.
I really like this image a lot, I must say it is the best use of the Script I have seen to date without doubt. |
