Default Tom the friendly Troll

Hello zbrushfolk!

I wanted to share a project I just finished up on. This is Tom and despite his rather monsterous looks, he's a friendly guy. He was created for the cgtalk hardcore modeling challenge that has it's deadline tommorow. Objective was to create one model and do 15 different expressions with it. Tom was conceptualized on paper, got his first form in clay, was then modeled in Maya and finely detailed in Zbrush. Zbrush was used to refine the displacement maps for each expressions as well. Hope you like him!

Wow.
Top row.
I would love to see some some of those paper and clay concept pieces.

Some of the best work I've seen here on ZBC. Excellent. +1 for top row.

This is great, and awesome study into expression.

Your worried expression looks like a very 'serious' look and not so worried. Seems to fall a bit flat compared to your other expressions. I think it's mostly in your brow. A characteristic of people who have a worried look is that the brows don't point down, but lift slightly towards the inside. Where the middle of the brow is pushed down.

Fantastic work. Hope this is helpful crit!
