Hello all.
I wanted to share my work, so here it is. I have been working a lot with ZBrush for the last year or so. Before I discovered ZB I was using 3DS Max. I would like as much C&C as possible as I wold like to one day turn this hobby into a job, as I love doing this. What better job is there, then one you want to do in your free time! This post is of my Female Warrior. The model of the woman is not mine. I can't remember the name of the creator of her, But when I find him/her I will give him/her props for sure. I did get it from Free ZTL in this forum I just can't find the one I got it from. The purpose of this model is to practice clothing and armor. I have made Time lapse videos to show my progress. OK, Now that I have the base for the Warrior, I decided she would need a mount. So after thinking about it for a while, I decided to come up with some sort of Monstrous Mount. I played around with a few Ideas. A dragon...Overdone. A wolf/dog /cat...Been done... So I came up with a sort of demon rat type thing.
This unlike the Warrior will be entirely from scratch. I will upload some timelapse videos after I get them made up. |

Hey, Great job on the clothing, as far as the rat Demon thing I think the front legs are pushed a little too far, too much shoulder and too far back on the elbow styled joint. I realize this isn't a real rat but i feel it still needs to be based on some proper anatomy. I think it would be cool if the back of it was arched more like a real rat and it could be really bony and that way your rider would have room for their legs, as of now this is far too low to the ground. Hope this reference image and critique helps out, can't wait to see it further along!

I would try to build the forms with the lowest possible subdivision that you can get away with. Trying to block things out at a higher subd is what is giving you that blobby look.

ScrapPile Not sure what I am going to do with it yet. I may end up rigging it. I havenčt done much animation, but I would like to get into it more. |

That last change is looking a lot better. Just remember to work in that method whenever you're doing something organic and the results tend to always be a lot better, and its a time saver in the end.

A small update. Been working on the body a little bit more, refining everything.
Started working on the saddle a bit. Not to sure it I will stick with the saddle though. If I do I want it to be covered in Human skin. Kinda going for the demon rat type thing. I am going to set her up as "the beautifull warrior princess escaping for hell". Now that I have a plan things are coming together much better. |
