when i try to use zmapper it says that i have over 500 000 polygons and i cant use zmapper. what step did i forget to do?

500 000 polys for a base mesh is a bit high.
Although I assume you are trying to side step disp by using a high rez model plus normal map. you should reduce it down, then try again. btw to keep your options open leverage subdivisions to your advantage and start with a lo rez base mesh. From what i can glean zmapper works fine with a mesh under 100 000 but even better under 30 000...depend s on your hardware... Of course you can bypass the zmapper warning and continue. hope this helps |
