your bug/insect sculpts are truly amazing! the mite renders really caught my eye. nicely done.

I just finished reading your book a couple days ago. I gotta say, very well put together . especially learned a lot from the render and texturing/polypaint sections as those are still things I have to pay more attention to.

    Default Big Image Dump

Here are a bunch of images I've been meaning to post from various projects some more successful than others... These are all ZBrush renders. Only the demon in the dragster had any photoshop editing.

    Default Creepy Crawly

My biologist friend asked me to render a photo realistic image of one of my ZBrush bug models to see if we could fool a certain famous entomologist. It worked! I alos told my apartment manager that I found this in the bathtub, really freaked her out. I had to whip this up in a few hours, so I know it ain't perfect but it's still fun.

ZBrush+Maya/Vray+Nuke. Textures are all Zbrush polypainting.

Working on an animated version but I don't want to post it until its closer to perfect.

Exclamation ZBrush User Group Meeting @Gnomon 080612 Be There!!!

I will be giving a talk along with Scott Spencer and Paul Gaboury at the ZBrush User Group meeting Monday August 6th (technically that is today, oh crap!). I spent the weekend creating a tutorial based on the model in these images. I will discuss new features in ZBrush 4r4 and alos about some of the scientific visualization work that I do using Zbrush. Remember: it's not art if it doesn't hurt your eyes a little.
