Hi everyone;
Browsing through older posts here, I found some topics covering Boolean
operation and how difficult it can be to have the object still editable
after the operation. While I was doodling with Zbrush last night, I did
stumble over some methode which can facilitate a bit around this matter.
Here are the results and as you can see, some odd probes can be created
this way. There are of course more possibilities which can be discovered
as you can combine different combinations of Zspheres and/or primitives.
The only thing that should be kept in mind is that two faces which are
going to be masked, must be parallel and identical with exact amount of
polys. The other thing is mesh resolution proior to masking which in fact
determinds the smoothness of round holes.
On Cube3D examples I needed to mask only one face in most cases.
Feel free to post and share your experiments here, as I can clearly see
that Zbrush possibilities are almost endless.
Thanks for viewing!

It's not a real "boolean" when you export the object in another prog!
