Default Ryan Kingslien's Sketchbook 3.0 (Contains Nudity)

Hey there! Been a long time since I posted. I've been working on some BPR rendering workshops and thought I would post some pictures.

Here is a BPR render of a sculpt I posted in my previous sketchbook thread, too. Only this times its done with Best Preview Render and a new MatCap material plus a little extra Photoshop post work.

    BPR_Render_comp.jpg

The following sculpts were done during live demonstrations. Red Cap was done on sunday. The Faerie was done on saturday. Both are taken from Brian Froud's Faeries. Was great to spend a whole weekend sculpting!

The materials and rendering setup are still in progress as I look for the most direct route for sculptors to create client presentations. What do you think?

I think they're looking very good, especially if they are primarily Bpr -> awesome for client presentations when deadlines are tight! Love the bronze.

    Hi Ryan

Looks like you had a good time sculpting and the BPR renders are very good. I think we can start delivering some really good renders to clients now. I have sent quite a few Best renders (Not BPR) in my work. The final statue there looks really good. Are these for http://www.zbrushworkshops.com/? I was just checking it out. Looks fantastic.

But seriously dude, Nudity warning on this thread is a bit too much... Where is it? The elbows? This is sculpting so I really can not understand how anyone could be offended by this. I'm not going to do a rant in your thread, I just felt you didn't need it

I'm going to do some more browsing on zbrushworkshops. Great initiative!

Oh, very cool and unexpected. Thanks for the kind words guys.

I added a tip to this post that will help us get better results from our BPR shadows.
Check out the ZBW explainer on VDepth below.

Mikademius - I add the nudity warning by default. Later, I will likely add something with some nudity in it and its harder to edit the title of a thread 30 days later.

Will add some explainers on the Bronze over the holidays.
Thanks Pixologic for the top row! Made my night.

    explainer_shadowVDepth0.jpg

Also, thought I would repost some of the pics of the bronze's working process.
My goal was to look for a completely digital workflow for a fine artist.

First step, find a pose. What better tool than ZSpheres!
    1.jpg

Second step, check the volumes. A job for ZSketch!
    2.jpg

Third step, use primitives to create the rings.
    3.jpg

    Fourth, sculpt it in "clay".
    4.jpg

Fifth step... well, that's what a ZBW workshop is all about.
