    Mature Audiences Musings by HerrSandslott

Hey y'all and welcome to my first post and proverbial dive into the digital era. I've been eaves-dropping on you for a while now and been greatly inspired by all the talent and decided it was time to join the fun and in time hopefully give something back to keep that inspirational ball rolling.

I'm an autodidactic sculptor / character designer from Sweden who has been tinkering around on the traditional side of the craft for a couple of years now. I love pushing clay into funny shapes and make up weird stories about them and I figure it is about time I enter the fray of polygons and pixels. So here I am!

The picture below constitutes my first attempt to take something all the way from scribbled idea to finished render within ZBrush4R4 as I learn the tools for each step of the workflow. Final composition of this mockup shot from my imagined movie "Into the garden" was made in Photoshop. Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!

    Default Octa

Here is a render of my OC Octa that is present in the previous mockup shot. ZBrush and Photoshop being the cultrips once again.

    Default Rhino Guy

This is a character I created last year in Jordu Schell's Creature Design class at Visualarium using polymer clay. I decided to revisit it and have a digital go at it while taking Scott Spencer's ZBrush Creature Design at Gnomon School of Visual Effects. Sculpting, painting and rendering with ZBrush and final composition in Photoshop. Lots of ground to cover but I'm having good fun doing it. Thanks for dropping by!

    Default Forest Guardian

An original character I came up with during Scott Spencer's ZBrush Creature Design class at Gnomon School of Visual Effects. ZBrush was used for modelling, texturing and rendering while final composition was made in Photoshop.
