so I've been doing some new head sculpt practice stuff.
here is a wip of picard using dyna mesh and started with a cylinder

and here is a quick half hour sculpt of The Spine from the band Steam Powered Giraffe. I used the Demo head as a base and made the hat in maya

Just curious how you would do that with a cylinder... do you retopo?
I'm just getting into the newer Zbrush 4R4, having laid aside ZB for a year or so, kinda relearning all of it.
What do you do with the end of the cylinder that's all tris at the center (or is there another cylinder I missed)?
I sculpt, but mostly with spheres
    Thanx

Simple, use dynamesh. it's under the geometry menu where you subdiv. Basically what it does is turn any mesh into an even mesh. It has poor topology but every part of the mesh has an even distribution of polygons. Get a low poly mesh and use dynamesh on it and look at the wire frame in zbrush. experiment with it. it's pretty cool.

3 whole gigs of ram (well 2 gig sticks and 2 512's)
Nvidia GeForce 7600 gt (that's right 256mb of ram on this puppy)
