Deus Irae's character concepts

Hi guys, long time lurker of this forum and this is my first post. I'd like to share with you some character concepts i did for the movie Deus Irae, soon to be film in Argentina.

I am Special-Effects maker and i use Z Brush to have an idea of how the final piece will look like for the director's and art director`s aproval.

All of the images were sculpted and rendered in Z Brush 3.5, creating the base mesh from z-spaheres, and comped in photoshop.

This two omages represent a demon wich uses a little girl as dissguise to enter our dimension. This character appears in the shot-film use for screening. (Can see trailer here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcJyP5Feh2s).






This is a discarted demon cause was eliminated from the script but i`d like to show you anyway.




This are demonoid-larvaes, the first stage of the warrior demons cycle.










This is the spider, a demonoid-spider wich lurks in a demon-infested house.









And finally The Preceptor, kind of Vatican golem from it's army whose is summoned to fight the infection. This design was intended to have a resemblance of the Cenobites and Cronen from Hellboy.

Is the film intended to be a (VERY) dark comedy? The upbeat jazz score and the over-the-top beating delivered by the priest are really jarring (though effective!).

Great design work on the effects, in any case.

What do you mean exactly by "Make Up". Where any of those make up done in Zbrush? If so I would say congratulation. You did a marvelous job.

Eiad: the fist images i've posted are conceots made in Z brush. This last ones are physical make up done on set. Thank for comment!!
