interesting scene! -- i'd like to see more. need's a sky or some more atmosphere - i.e. fog or haze I think. smoke coming of that lava would add a lot also. the ship's/ beasties are compelling.
hey hey guys , yet another scene, ...seedship.... still have to do some texture work and will probably use some dynamics in maya to animate it taking off , all i can say is thanks for zshperes !!

Some of those are reminiscent of sci-fi paintings from the 70's and 80's, the art that got me hooked on it. You're giving me flashbacks of my childhood lol. Good stuff. Seems like Pixologic listened and answered your need with the updated curve system in Z4r4. Vines should be no problem now, especially with tri-imm and the ability to continue a curve where you left off. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Take care!![]()
yeah man , just been watching micheals videos , those curve brushes are excellant. just in time for my next project.! thanks man..
just a quick render of a different angle still too much to do.

You are STILL doing things that I WANT!!!
That eggpod lamp thingy is awesome!
I seriously want that thing, not on the computer but growing on my ceiling.
Remember when we were talking about how to wrap curve tubes around things? This release seems like it was made for you!
nope...
I don't know what I'm doing but I'm doing it anyway.
looks like HypnoWorld or something![]()

just been messin about with the new curve brushes , and i am sure i am missing something, can you do seperate tubes from a single tube? like a branch on a tree ? because when you try, the previous stroke gets replaced by the new one.. any way pass this?

One curve with multiple branches no, but you can do a couple of things about that.
- First is draw your trunk.
- Then figure out which end is the "Start" of your curve, if you need to redraw it.
- Now turn on the Lock Start button in the Curve pallet under the Stroke pallet.
- Hit the 5 key (this makes a copy of the original curve) and drag from the other End (or anywhere you like).
- Now the fun bit.
- Drag the base of the new curve out along your trunk, scale it if you need to.
- In the Depth Pallet in the Brush Menu push the Depth down if needed so the base of your new branch sinks into the trunk.
Having Snap on is very helpful for parts of this but infuriating as well at times so turn it on and off as needed.
- With Snap off you can make a curve, delete the thing you drew it onto using PolyGroups and the SplitGroup thingy in the SubTool Pallet.
- Then draw a branch on the trunk, adjust as needed.
- Click OUTSIDE the curve line thingy on the trunk. This "drops" your branch.
- Now draw another branch and click out side of it anywhere to drop it.
Same things here, adjust the depth and screw with Snap, both are great. Also being able to lock the Start and/or the End of your curves is AWESOME.
Is that helpful?

How are you trying to do that?
If you are trying to change the size of the whole thing just alter your brush size and click the curve line or the little control points and POOF it should change the size.
If you mean you want it to taper off in one direction or the other like a branch on a tree gets smaller then you need to go into Curve Modifiers in the Stroke Pallet and turn on Size.
