Yep, 34 for me too. Incredibly creepy but brilliantly done, especially the folds in the skin.

    Cool

This one is really tough! I'll go with 34 but 35 and 29 are so close. Right side front shoulder of 35 has some joint issues and texture is not quite at the same level as 34. 29 is so interesting and execution is on par with 34 but lacks the "smoulder" presented by the merkitty. Bloody good work Taron and Tomol. Actually bloody good work everyone.

    Cheers

Hey I like 35-37.....I guess I like the movement and the blending of
the anatomical underlying structure.....and the pure evilness of the critter.....

I mark 33 for its just plain whimsy.......

29 and 3 are real goood for different reasons......one for the fur and the
other for the choice of animals....

I love ya all for the great inspiration

Really Cool Works here! It's difficult again make a choice... but...

Yes I loved immediatly the Taron's Chimera... so I vote 34#

Also I want tell that I have great emotions when I seen Tomol's Creature, the SpritDreamer Creature, CaptainNEmo Chimera and the Great Flying Whales that open the entries of this contest (please forgive me, I don't remember the nick name of the Artist...).

Anyway these are my preferences but again Great Compliments to all Artists here.

    Ciao

@ Taron You know, I would ordinarily be voting for 34. IF I thought you had done your best on it because I feel that its at the top. But you didnt do your best. I still have the same problems I noted with it before but as you said its hard to go back and correct the problems without re texturing. The texturing job is beautifully done. You will probably win it for what I consider to be a flawed work. Thats ok, I think you have a brilliant future ahead of you but my advice is always try your best and you will surpass your own expectations and ours as well.

@ Tomol I have watched you evolve this work over the past week and I can tell the effort that was put into it. Its really well done. You didnt quit. You didnt rest on your laurels. You pushed it. I like the view you show in the 3/4s shot and would really like to see you bring it to a full image. Its fluid and dynamic. You may not be winning this competition but.

    My vote goes to 35-37

As for my own work. I hate being indecisive but thats what happened. There were too many directions it could have gone. My advice to myself. Follow one course and stick to it and yes as I feel Taron should do. Try harder. Because I also could have done a better job and I am not going to be hypocritical with myself or others.

And now I probably have everyone mad at me but I have never been one to follow the crowd in my opinion. It makes for a lonely road but so be it.

Speaking of everyone else you all did well.

So you slammed Taron for not doing his best ... For the benefit of the rest of the respondents I did my best! I really really really did!

I'm voting for #34 because for me it was the one that stirred me emotionally. She is soft, femine, feline! and hard, pokey, and disturbing.

Tomol: The texture of 35-37 has weigh to much reflection in it. It leaves a static impression though it was meant to look dynamic I guess. It is quite good though. But far from being perfect.

Taron: With the cat thing maybe you wanted too much. The addition of the hair was not necessary and the skin flow is wrong at the tail. The eye part is great. But it seems, that when you got to the last part of your creation you did not put the effort in it.

Anyway my vote goes for 14, good idea, flowing form nice texturing and material.

PS.: I love the giraffe too by mermaidine. If it was only for the creative idea, my vote would go for this.

Yes Celt. I am holding him to a higher standard than the rest of us mere mortals. And I think Taron is honest enough that he will tell you the same thing. There is no way that the kitty as it is, is his best. All you have to do is look around his thread both here and at Dr Petters forum. Stunning work. If he had given us his best this wouldnt be a masterpiece. It would be a Masterpiece capitalized.
